Spotify ad muter. Automagically mutes sound when an ad is playing.
SpotMute is light-weight, permission free*, and open source. The original Spotify ad muter written 100% in Kotlin.
SpotMute can mute the music volume when a Spotify ad is playing, and automagically unmute afterwards. All you have to do is enable 'Device Broadcast Status' in Spotify settings.
Be sure to disable any battery saving feature for SpotMute and Spotify if you want it to work nicely.
Why risk account termination and giving all your privacy away when using a Spotify ad blocker/cracked app such as Spotify++ found randomly on Google, when you can use SpotMute risk free. Note that SpotMute is a Spotify ad muter, not blocker. It does not work on Spotify lite unfortunately.

- 'run foreground service' permission is needed to actually mute ads without the app being open.
- 'network access' is used to load data from dontkillmyapp.com.

What´s new
Introducing DON'T SHOUT; silence ads on the lowest volume setting instead of muting them. You can find it in settings under "Beta".
In addition this release includes some new translations, a decrease of the size of the widget, fix for an issue with repeating same song, and for selected devices the battery optimization settings can now be opened directly from SpotMute.
